we take you to the skatepark often. you usually bring your board and scooter, switching every few minutes. we see how much you enjoy it and the twinkle in your eye as you observe the older kids with their sweaty foreheads, concrete scratched jeans and scraped elbows. some have mastered their tricks and some haven't. it's a good lesson for you to keep getting up, to keep trying.
i hear things about the skatepark, that the troubled kids hang out there. i've heard a few cuss words and have seen one cigarette, but mostly, the kids are passionate, exercising and working toward their own trick goals. most of them offer me a smile and move aside when they see you coming up the ramp.
